I like how you incorporated a part of the story (I think) into the loading screens. Very cool.
However, I have some suggestions. Is it possible to make the images somehow as old as the parchment paper (I assume that is your background?)? It does not really gel as well as it should - kind of like magic markers drawings on parchment. It's a bit disjointed, or should I say trippy @_@. Give it a more aged feel, I should say.
